HOTEL BOOKING:

There has been an update to the hotels listed for the Biennial Convention that were shared with registrants.

The Southern Sun Sandton should not have been included as a hotel option due to its distance from the convention site. It has now been removed from the hotel registration link.

If any delegates or observers have already made reservations at the Southern Sun Sandton, they will be offered the opportunity to move their reservation to the Garden Court Sandton City, which has a similar room rate and is more conveniently located to the convention site.
Director Sharon Blaylock will contact the hotel to determine whether any reservations have already been made and will assist with the appropriate follow-up.

We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this change may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Bookings outside of these dates will need to be made directly with the hotels.

Hotel Distance to the Sandton Convention Centre: Sandton Sun and Towers: Directly linked to the Sandton Convention Centre via an enclosed sky bridge
Garden Court Sandton City: Located next to the Sandton Convention Centre, within walking distance
Southern Sun Sandton: Located approximately 1km from the Sandton Convention Centre

Booking terms:
Guests booking rooms between “now” and the 28th February 2027, will only need to pay a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure their room(s)
The hotel(s) will follow up on the balance payment, which will be due 60 days before arrival.
 Guests booking rooms from the 1st March 2027 onwards will need to pay the full amount for their stay at the time of booking.
(The link is currently set up for a 50% deposit and will be adjusted at the end of February 2027 for full pre-payment)

Cancellation terms:
Rooms released more than 60 days before arrival – No Cancellation Fees
Rooms released 59 – 30 days before arrival – 50% Cancellation Fees
Rooms released less than 30 days before arrival – 100% Cancellation Fees

RECENT NOTES:

Registration is now open at $300. 

Early bird registration runs from 8 August 2026 and ends February the 28th, 2027. This is for delegates, alternates, and observers. 

Registration from 1 March 2027 to 30 June 2027 at $350. This is for delegates and alternates. Observers($300) 

No onsite registration, and registration is non-refundable. 

ALL DELEGATE REGISTRATIONS ARE THROUGH THE EPISCOPAL DISTRICT 

Important Registration Requirements 

Each delegate, alternate or observer must complete registration in advance. No onsite registration will be available. Each registrant must use a unique email address. Registration confirmation will include the hotel reservation link. Badges, with a QR Code printed, will be required for entrance to convention activities.

From 1 July 2026, travellers entering or leaving South Africa must submit their traveller declaration online before they travel, unless they qualify for one of the limited paper-based exceptions.
